Jellyfish Nebula

The Jellyfish Nebula (NGC 2023), located in the constellation of Licorne, inspires a series of three digital photomontages, where the organic shapes and colors of the oceans, such as corals and fish, blend with the cosmic universe. The link between this nebula, the oceans, and the idea that we are stardust lies in the interconnectedness of all elements in the universe. Just as nebulae and oceans are constantly evolving, the elements released by stars form the material for new stars, planets, and life forms, including us. Our bodies, composed of stardust and 70% water, echo this connection between the universe, the ocean, and humans. We are the stars and the oceans, participants in this great cosmic cycle where matter and energy are endlessly transformed.
